Springvale Rise Primary School Community Hub

All Things Hub

As we conclude the year, we celebrate the many programs offered at the Hub.

During our final playgroup of the year, the children engaged in Christmas arts and crafts, and enjoyed baking shortbread biscuits and gingerbread men. We also took a moment to bid farewell to our playgroup graduates who will be starting school next year.

In our English class, we held a feast where many students brought delicious dishes to share. We were pleased to invite our English class teachers from the Springvale Learning Activities Centre and Springvale Neighbourhood House to present awards to the students. Additionally, we recognised four special students who exemplified Springvale Rise’s School Values of Respect, Resilience, Collaboration, and Excellence. Congratulations to all students who attended English classes throughout the year, with one student achieving a remarkable total of 156 hours of attendance!

As the summer holiday season approaches, all the Casey and Dandenong Hubs gathered at Black Rock Beach for a session with Life Saving Club Victoria, focusing on water safety, particularly for beach swimming. The key takeaways from the day included: always swim between the red and yellow flags, swim with a buddy, and keep your children within arm's reach while in the water. We had a fantastic time learning and playing games by the beach!

On that note, I wish the Springvale Rise Primary School community a wonderful and relaxing holiday break. Please stay safe, hydrated, and prepare for an exciting 2025 school year!

Hub programs for 2025 will resume on Monday, February 17th. We look forward to seeing you all there!
