Snapshots from Springvale Campus
Can you believe we are approaching the end of another school year? Looking back on the past four terms, I can see a year filled with growth and learning. From Foundation to Year 6, every student has made strides in their academic, social and emotional development. We have witnessed students rise to challenges, show creativity and learn new skills every day. One example of the great learning that happens at Springvale Rise are the amazing water cycle dioramas recently created by our JLC students. What a creative and clever way to present their leaning around this important topic!
Last week we had the privilege of holding our 2025 Student Leader Elections. Our Year 5 candidates on both campuses worked incredibly hard to present their ideas, share their visions for the school and inspire their fellow students during their speeches as well as their interviews with the Principal Team. The election process was also an opportunity for our younger students in Years 3 and 4 not only to give their vote, but also get inspired and think about what qualities make a good leader. It encouraged them to reflect on what they value in others and what it means to be responsible and inclusive. We will announce our first round of student leaders at our Whole School Assembly next week so stay tuned to see who they are.
This week, all the year levels held their learning centre End of Year Celebrations. The students came together to enjoy games and fun activities as well as reflect on their achievements during the year. There were lots of smiles and giggles from everyone involved as well as a few proud teacher tears.
As we close out the year, I would like to express how grateful we are for all of the wonderful students, parents, carers and staff who make our school such a special place. We wish all of you a joyful and restful holiday season!
We look forward to our final end of the year events next week – the much anticipated Year 6 Graduation and our traditional Whole School Assembly at the Springvale City Hall. See you all there!
Warm regards,
Mrs Mirela Karup
Acting Assistant Principal
