Getting to Know You Interviews

The Compass booking system for 'Getting to Know You' interviews is now open. Please access this via your child’s Compass Portal.

The interviews will be held at school on Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th February.

A "Getting to Know You" interview with your child's class teacher is a valuable opportunity to build a strong home-school partnership. It allows you to share important insights about your child's strengths, learning preferences and any concerns, helping the teacher provide a more personalised and supportive learning experience. This meeting also fosters open communication, ensuring a collaborative approach to your child's academic and social development throughout the school year.

Our Specialist Teachers are also available for you to book in a 'Getting to Know You’ Interview. Please only book an interview with a Specialist Teacher if there is something specific you need them to be aware of about your child that is relevant to their curriculum area. General information about your child will be passed on from the classroom teachers to Specialist Teachers.

Library

The library is now open, and students are visiting this week with their class teacher to borrow.

To help our students take care of their library books and ensure they are returned in good condition; we are asking all students to bring a library bag to carry their borrowed books.

While students are welcome to borrow books this week without a bag, beginning next week, students will need to bring a library bag each time they borrow from the library. This will help protect the books and ensure they are safely transported home and back to school.

If you are looking for a bag, here are some inexpensive options you can use:

• A sturdy fabric tote bag

• A reusable shopping bag

• A cloth or canvas bag

Please ensure the bag is large enough to fit the books comfortably and is easy for your child to carry or fit in their school bag.

Additionally, we are accepting library bag donations for students who may need one. If you have any spare bags at home that you would like to donate, please drop them off in the school office. Any contributions are greatly appreciated!

Classroom teachers will inform students of their library day for Term 1 to ensure they are aware of which day to pack their library bag and books each week.
