Welcome back to another exciting year at Valkstone Primary School! We hope you had a restful and enjoyable break, filled with quality time spent with family and friends. As we begin 2025, we’re thrilled to see our school community come together once again, ready for a year of learning, growth and connection.

As the Assistant Principal for Wellbeing and Community Engagement, I look forward to supporting our students, families and staff throughout the year. At Valkstone, we believe that student wellbeing is the foundation for academic success and personal growth. Our dedicated wellbeing team is here to ensure that every child feels safe, supported and valued as they navigate their school journey.

We have an exciting year ahead, filled with opportunities for students to thrive academically, socially and emotionally. Whether it’s through classroom learning, extracurricular activities or community events, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and nurturing environment for all.

If you have any questions, concerns or require support for your child, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the school or directly to our wellbeing team. We are here to work in partnership with you to ensure your child has the best possible experience at Valkstone.

Here’s to a fantastic year ahead – welcome back!

Kind regards,

Grant Rounsley

LOOK OUT FOR :

We are in the process of organising 2025 Lunch Clubs. These take place during the first half of lunch and are differentiated by age.

Last year our students enjoyed colouring in, making bracelets, origami, jigsaws and LEGO.

Our wonderful Grade 6 Wellbeing Leaders will be helping us organise and run the clubs. Over the next week or two we will be asking students for suggestions of clubs that they would enjoy.  Stay tuned for more information!
