It is with great pleasure that I welcome you all to the new school year. The first few days of school always brings a special energy, and this year has been no exception. Scooting through our grounds, I have been struck by the buzz of excitement, the sound of friends reuniting and the warm greetings between teachers, students and families.

Yes, I did say ‘scooting’! I had a pre-planned foot surgery in mid-January, and with my instructions of no walking, I have taken up knee-scooting! Keep an eye out for me whizzing around and in particular, keep an ear out for me calling out ‘wheeeeeee!!’ as I speed down one of the many ramps here at school.

I would like to extend a particularly special welcome to all of the new families who have joined our school community this year. Whether you've come from other schools in the area, moved from interstate, come from overseas or are just beginning your school journey with us, we are delighted to have you as part of our school family. Our experienced staff and welcoming parent community are here to support you as you settle into life at our school.

Today marked an especially memorable milestone for our newest and youngest students as they started their first day of Prep. It was heartwarming to see our Prep students arrive this morning with their new school bags and bright smiles, ready to begin their educational journey. Our Prep teachers reported that the children settled in beautifully, engaging enthusiastically in their first activities and already beginning to form new friendships. While there might have been a few nervous moments, by morning tea time our Prep classrooms were filled with confident voices and happy learners.

As we begin this new year together, I look forward to working alongside all of our families to ensure every student has the opportunity to be a curious learner, preparing themselves for tomorrow’s world. Please remember that our staff are here to support both you and your children throughout the year ahead.

Here's to a wonderful 2025!

Warm regards,
