SSB (School Saving Bonus)
School Saving Bonus is a one-off support of $400 for families of Victorian government school students to help with 2025 school costs.
Your unique SSB code can be used at the following suppliers:
- North of the Yarra Bookstore for textbooks
- Noone’s for school uniforms
- through Macleod College for excursions/activities and camps
By the third week of December, EdRolo should be listed as a supplier option for digital textbooks for the following subjects:
- 07-10 Maths
- 11-12 General Maths
- 11-12 Physics
- 11-12 Psychology
To use your SSB for a school activity, tick the CSEF/Credit box when paying for an event through your Compass Parent Portal.
The School Saving Bonus can not be used for school fees or resources or music academy fees.
Once you allocate your bonus to an in-store or online purchase or to school activities, it cannot be reversed.
However, if you have unspent funds or don’t use the funds you allocated to purchases, these funds will automatically be available on your child’s school account as an activities credit on 01 July 2025.
Some families have experienced delays in receiving their unique $400 SSB code.
The Education Department is working with Microsoft to resolve this issue. If you have not received your code email, please continue to re-check your email accounts, including junk / spam folders.
