Principal's Report
Dear families,
Today we find ourselves well into Term 3 and the weather has been challenging. We have opened up the Senior Study Centre and the stadium for students to keep warm and play in a sheltered environment. The cold weather has also resulted in a number of student and staff absences already this term, so we look forward to warmer times.
The delay in the building works has been frustrating and is due to the Capital Grants Authority and its approval of the release of funds so we can enter into contracts with our builder. We have been promised that the money should be released any day now.
We look forward to celebrating the efforts of our Year 11 students (and some others) in preparing for the Presentation Ball that will be held next Friday night. It is always a great way to show elements of our College community at its best.
The students in Year 9-11 are well on their way to selecting their subjects for 2025 which will determine our staffing requirements for next year. Parents and carers have been asked to enter into conversations with their daughter or son around what their interests are and what cluster of skills would they like to develop. It is amazing how quickly our kids grow up, so now is a great time to be part of that journey.
Stay safe
Gerard Raven
