Art Gallery of NSW Excursion

Year 11 Visual Arts are preparing for the annual Wyndham College portrait painting prize and went on an excursion to view the Archibald Prize at the Art Gallery of NSW. 

The Archibald Prize is an Australian portraiture art prize for painting, generally seen as the most prestigious portrait prize in Australia. 

Students also gained a glimpse into the creative journey of a much-admired, award-winning Australian artist Wendy Shape for her latest exhibition "Spellbound". 

To cap it off, students had an exclusive visit to Alphonse Mucha's spirit of Art Nouveau.
