Importance of Attendance in the Final Term: A Message from the Deputy Principal Ann-Maree Ager.
As we approach the last term of the Year 11, I want to emphasize the critical importance of attending every class. With the yearly exams scheduled for Week 9-10, from the 16th to the 27th of September, consistent attendance is essential to ensure that students are fully prepared and able to perform at their best.
Every lesson counts, especially as we gear up for the final exams. Regular attendance ensures that students do not miss out on key concepts, revision sessions, and valuable feedback from teachers. Missing classes can lead to gaps in understanding, which can be challenging to fill independently. By attending every class, students can:
Good Work Habits for Success
To support our students in their studies, we encourage the adoption of the following good work habits:
Phone Policy Reminder
We remind everyone that phones must be off and away during school hours, including in the playground and the Hub. This policy helps minimise distractions and allows students to engage fully in their learning and social interactions.
Support Resources
We understand that this time can be stressful, and additional support may be needed. Our Friday afternoon ACE tutorials will continue this term, providing an excellent opportunity for students to receive extra help in their subjects. We encourage students to speak with their class teachers or Year Advisers if they require further assistance or have any concerns. Our staff is here to support every student's journey to success.
Best wishes for a productive and successful term.
