Year 6's visit to the Trade Expo
On Wednesday, July 31st, our Year 6 students had the exciting opportunity to attend the Murray Mallee LLEN Trade Expo, where they explored a variety of career paths.
The day began with a tour of the SuniTAFE campus, providing insight into diverse industries and potential careers. Students also participated in wellbeing and motivational activities.
After a lunch break at The Grain Shed, the students attended the Trades Career Expo. They engaged in interactive demonstrations such as cooking with Masterchef Tim Bone, welding simulations, and electric vehicle showcases. Other activities included barista overviews, hair and beauty tutorials, and hands-on experiences in bricklaying, painting, and tiling.
The event also featured presentations on women in trades and Defence Force career opportunities and virtual reality experiences.
Gift bags with exhibitor maps were provided for further exploration. The day was an inspiring and informative experience for all students involved.
