Secondary Parent Information Night

In Week 2, our Secondary Parent Information Night was a resounding success with over 50 attendees on the night. We were very pleased to have families from multiple sub schools represented reflecting the fact that they are keen to know more about our secondary curriculum pathways before their children transition into the Secondary Sub School.

The biggest highlight was having past and existing students sharing their insights above their involvement in SBAT and their further career progression since graduating.

Post School Careers Expo

As a follow up to our Secondary Parent Night, we conducted the 2024 Careers Expo on Thursday, 8th August in the Yaluk Gym from 3:30-6:30pm.

20 new and familiar service providers were in attendance in the new Yaluk building. This was a great opportunity for our families to consult with these services in planning for their child’s post-school options well in advance.

Student Wellbeing Referral Pathway

The Wellbeing Team referral pathway is designed to support staff to proactively detect early warning signs of student mental health concerns. The referral pathway will support the school to create clearer referral pathway internally (within school) and externally (to community services) for students identified requiring further assessment and intervention.

Canine Comprehension

Canine Comprehension has recommenced for Term 3! Selected students are participating within the Middle and Secondary sub schools as well as Dog for Half a Day for all classrooms in the Primary Sub-School.

The Wellbeing team love seeing the students make positive gains each session they attend.
