Student Leaders Report
Welcome back to Term 3!
We are very excited to announce our Acting Principal, Mr. Carlton! The School Leaders have already had a meeting with Mr Carlton where we shared our ideas about school improvements and what we would like to see in our school.
Today the whole school planted all the trees that we received from the ‘Trees for Schools Grant’. We look forward to caring for the plants and watching them grow in the future. These trees will surely improve the look of our gardens, as well as creating a safe space for our native birds.
This week the Grade 5/6s participated in swimming lessons and next week we have our Grade 4 students attending their swimming lessons. These lessons are an important part of our future. Every Australian must know how to keep themselves safe in and around water.
Our upcoming events are :
- Green and Gold Day (Friday 2nd of August)
- 100 days of Prep! (Tuesday 30th of July)
Next week’s Green and Gold Day for the Olympic Games celebrates Australia’s achievements. Everyone is encouraged to wear any green or gold items to support this cause. Please don’t forget to bring a gold coin donation. GO AUSTRALIA!
Everyone will be helping the Preps celebrate their special 100 Days at School with a parade in the gym at 9.15am. Wear a splash of colour to join in. Our theme is ‘100 Days Brighter!’
The countdown is on to the Art Show. Have you seen the huge sign on our school fence advertising the Art Show? It looks great! Save the date in your diary as we want as many people as possible attending to celebrate our Visual Arts program. The colouring books are now in production and will be available for purchase for $5 very soon. Keep an eye on information to follow.
We are so excited to be back at school and are looking forward to lots this term!
