Olympic Games 2024
The library currently has the foyer decorated in Green and Gold and features a display of books showcasing Australia’s amazing athletes. In honour of this year’s Olympic Games in Paris, the library is screening Australian highlights in Area A at lunchtime during the course of the games. Students and teachers are welcome to view the games.

CBCA Shadow Judging 2024
The Shadow Judges and friends have completed the Post-it Wall Mural of the Mona Lisa in the Library foyer. It took many hands and 2,064 super-sticky Post-it notes. I think you will agree the students have done a fantastic job and I thank them all for making the Library foyer look so colourful.
Book Club
Book-clubbers met in the second week of Term 3 to discuss holiday reading. Three books were chosen to read and discuss this term:
Hitchiker’s Guide to the Galaxy – when earth is destroyed, Arthur Dent embarks on an epic adventure through space. A science fiction classic.
Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children – based upon the author’s vintage photograph collection and his grandfather’s stories, this is a haunting fantasy about the fates of the children in these photographs.
Umbrella Academy #1 Apocalypse Suite – The first graphic novel in the series. Seven children from The Umbrella Academy (a dysfunctional family of superheroes with bizarre powers) come together to save the world in Paris. Very timely!
There is something here for everyone and copies are now available at the library desk.
The next Book Club will be held in Week 9, Wednesday 9 September. Students are welcome to drop by the library or email library@mgsc.vic.edu.au at any time with details of their name and class to join.
