🏆 District Winter Sports 2025 🏉⚽🏐⚾

On Tuesday 27 May, our Grade 5-6 students proudly represented Trafalgar Primary School at the 2025 District Winter Sports competition—one of the most anticipated events on our sporting calendar. Students competed in AFL, Soccer, Netball, and Teeball against a number of local schools, playing multiple matches throughout the day.

We are pleased to share some excellent results:

  • Girls A Netball Team – 2nd Place
  • Teeball A Team – 2nd Place
  • Girls AFL Team – 2nd Place

We congratulate all of our teams on their performances and, just as importantly, on the outstanding attitude, teamwork, and sportsmanship they displayed. Our students represented Trafalgar Primary School with pride, resilience, and respect across every match they played.

We would also like to sincerely thank the parents who volunteered their time and expertise to coach and support our teams on the day. Your involvement had a significant impact on our students’ experience, and your contribution is greatly appreciated by the entire school community.

Well done to all involved — a fantastic day of school sport for Trafalgar!

🕺 Junior Dance Program Kicks Off With Energy and Excitement! 🎶

Today marked the exciting launch of our Term 2 Junior Dance Program for Foundation to Grade 2 students—and what a fantastic time we had! Led by Jewel from Decipher Dance, our young performers warmed up, learned new moves, and embraced the rhythm with energy, smiles, and enthusiasm.

Across each session, students were introduced to a fun and funky dance style that blends precision with playful movement. There was laughter, teamwork, and a real buzz in the gym as our junior dancers explored musicality, coordination, and performance skills in a supportive environment.

Over the coming weeks, students will continue to build toward a special performance at assembly. Without giving too much away… let’s just say there might be a touch of teamwork, a hint of sporting flair, and a finale that’s sure to get everyone moving in audience!

We can’t wait to see how the routines come together—and we know our audience is in for a treat. Stay tuned!

Indonesian Cultural Day

On Friday 23rd of May, Trafalgar Primary School hosted Baguskan for our annual Indonesian Cultural Day.  It was a fantastic day celebrating different aspects of Indonesia’s rich and vibrant culture!

Students in Years 3-6 participated in workshops run by Aaron and Nina, learning about Indonesian gamelan (percussion orchestra) and traditional dance. Students in Foundation-Year 2 watched a Wayang Kulit (shadow puppet) performance and participated in becak rides around the school yard!

At the end of the day, all students who participated in workshops had an opportunity to perform either dance or gamelan in front of their peers, in a final performance retelling a traditional Indonesian cultural story.

Terima kasih banyak, Aaron and Nita for all your hard work in running such a fantastic event for our school!!

Breakfast Club

It has been wonderful to welcome students and families back to Breakfast Club this term!  We have had so many students visit us in the mornings for delicious toasties, cereals and milos to help kick start their learning day.  We are so thankful for the many generous food donations provided by the community and from our sponsors - Foodbank, IGA Trafalgar, Bakers Delight Mid Valley and Gracie’s Bakery.

Due to these donations, Breakfast Club continues to be able to support families through the provision of Care Packages.  We remind families that our Traf Pantry can be found in the Gym Foyer and continues to be stocked with many excellent products, available to anyone - and they’re free!  If you would like to receive a Care Package or know of a family who may benefit, feel free to drop into our School Office, see Mrs Burns or Mrs Marslen.

Donations of Jam and Milo needed, please!

Thank you again to all families who have generously donated tins of Milo to our Breakfast Club.  Any extra donations of Milo, as well as jam would be greatly appreciated to support our school community!

Looking forward to seeing you for brekky this term!
