Attendance 

Rockely Public School's attendance policy objectives include:

• Regular attendance at school is essential to assist students to maximise their potential. Schools, in partnership with parents, are responsible for promoting the regular attendance of students.
• Schools have a responsibility to contact families within two days of a student having an unexplained absence.
• Schools have a responsibility to monitor children’s prompt arrival to school, to ensure that they do not miss out on prime learning time.
• Teachers must receive an explanation for a student’s absence within 7 days from the first day of any absence through means of telephone call, written note, text message, School Bytes or email.
