Principals Message

Week 4 was another busy one!

This week, we were pleased to welcome Mrs Murray, our Assistant Principal of Curriculum Instruction. During her visit, our teachers engaged in professional learning focused on explicit teaching practices. Continued professional learning is vital for improving practice and ensuring our students receive the best possible education.

Daily Attendance

As we progress through the term, I want to emphasise the importance of regular attendance at school. Consistent attendance is crucial for students' academic success and social development. Each day in the classroom builds upon the previous one, and missing even a single day can lead to gaps in understanding and learning. Being present at school allows students to engage with their peers and benefit from the rich learning environment our teachers provide. We encourage all families to prioritise daily attendance and support your child in making the most of their educational journey at Rockley.

Creative Play in the Sandpit and Mud Kitchen

We are delighted to see the children enjoying the sandpit and mud kitchen during recess and lunch. It’s lovely to watch their creativity as they engage in imaginative play with their friends.

Reports

Student reports will be released on Monday of Week 10. Parent-teacher interviews will be offered in Week 10 on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons, providing an excellent opportunity for families to discuss their child's progress and achievements.

Assembly

Assembly is on Friday in Weeks 4, 6, 8, 10 this term. All are welcome!

Notifications for assembly awards will be sent out on Wednesday of award weeks to families whose children will be receiving awards.

Thank you for your ongoing involvement in our school community.

Kind regards,

Acting Principal
