Division Cross Country Results

On Tuesday the 27th of May, Truganina P-9 College sent students from years 7, 8 & 9 to represent the college at the Division Cross Country event held in Werribee.

Students had to run over 3 kilometres and finish in the top 15 of the division to make it on to the next round of regional cross country. In the second race of the day Truganina P-9 college students finished 2nd, 3rd and 4th - all of whom will progress to the next stage!

The whole college are extremely proud not only of the students who progressed but all students who participated on the day, displaying resilience and sportsmanship beyond their years.

Model United Nations Conference

On 3rd June, 28 Year-9 students from our school participated in the Model United Nations (MUN) conference at Werribee Secondary College. Representing different countries, they engaged in debates, drafted resolutions, and collaborated on global issues.

Guided by teachers- Jack Matthews and Sirat Bakshi, students were well-prepared and confident! The event was a valuable learning experience that strengthened their communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.

We are thrilled to celebrate Adele Zhang, a Year 7 student from our College, who won one of the competition rounds and progressed to the finals, which was held on the 6th of June at Thomas Carr College.

Adele gave it her all and represented our school with pride and enthusiasm— her effort and attitude were a major win in our eyes! Your commitment and courage deserves a round of applause, well done Adele.

Another Year 7 student, Sunny Tran, also represented our College with great poise and delivered a strong performance.

Both students dedicated their lunchtimes during Term 1 to refine their speeches, receive feedback, and develop their public speaking skills. Their commitment, confidence, and courage are truly commendable.
