Years 4 to 6 Author Visit
On Thursday morning, Clayfield welcomed Peter Helliar to the College. He was thoroughly entertaining and spoke with the students candidly about his own experiences with writing growing up. As well as reading an excerpt from his new book Detective Galileo, he gave the students writing tips and spoke of common writing errors to avoid. He answered numerous thoughtful questions from the audience and stayed back to sign copies of his new release. We thank Cholm Johnson from Bright and Early Books for organising such a wonderful event.
Pre-Prep to Year 1 Cross Country
On Tuesday afternoon, our Pre-Prep to Year 1 students loved every minute of their Cross Country Carnival. The Pre-Preps ran one lap around the oval, Preps two laps and Year 1s three laps. Special thanks go to the Year 6 students who helped as pace setters and encouragers on the course and to the parents and students who cheered everyone on with great enthusiasm.
We acknowledge Miss Lewin, Mr O’Rourke, Ms Cattenach and Ms Hughes from the Sports Department for their hard work in preparing and supporting such a wonderful event for our youngest students.
