Captains' Corner

Bridgette O'Brien and Olivia Cullen - Gibson House Captains

On Friday 6 June, Gibson House proudly hosted our annual fundraiser, Flanno for a Farmer, raising funds for the incredible charity, Drought Angels. It was a day full of fun, community spirit and colourful flannel shirts, all worn in support of Aussie farmers doing it tough in the face of natural disasters.

A big congratulations goes to our Year 11 students Mimi, Ruby, Shelly, Lucija, Layla and Amara, who took out the title of 'Best Dressed' with their creative Old McDonald Had a Farm-inspired outfits! Your enthusiasm and effort captured the spirit of the day.

We were also incredibly lucky to be joined by Clayfield College Old Collegian Claire Harris (Class of 2014), who brought the energy and taught us all some classic line dancing during lunch. Thank you, Claire, for sharing your time and talent with us it was a highlight of the day and got so many people involved, laughing and learning new moves. Adding to the excitement, we held a delicious bake sale at morning tea, with homemade treats generously donated by students and families.

Thank you to everyone who baked, bought, and supported - it was a sweet success and helped raise even more funds for our cause. Again, thank you to everyone who contributed to making the day such a success.
