Co-curricular - Junior Sport Stage 3

I hope that everyone had a relaxing and restorative long weekend. No doubt batteries have been recharged, and boys have returned to school ready for the final flourish of Term 2.
The end of term is always a busy one. There are a number of activities that boys and families should be aware of.
The final two rounds of sport for Term 2:
- Saturday 14 June, Round 6
- Saturday 21 June, Round 7
Training continues as usual
Junior School Athletics Carnival on Thursday 19 June
No training for any Junior School Winter teams the week commencing
Monday 23 June
Parent/Teacher interviews on Thursday 26 and Friday 27 June
Boys return for Term 3 on Tuesday 22 July
Training re-commences on Tuesday 22 July in preparation for the final three rounds of the season.
Athletics Carnival
The Junior School Annual House Athletics Carnival will be held on Thursday 19 June (Week 8) this Term. The carnival will take place on Breen Oval and parents/carers are more than welcome to come and spectate. Parents/carers are asked to sit on the bench seats along the Fraser Street side of the oval. There is not much cover on this side of the oval, so please be prepared for all weather conditions. Unfortunately, this year we will have colour houses occupying the stands directly opposite the bench seats, so these will not be available on the day.
Boys are to wear their colour house PE uniform to and from school and the College tracksuit should be worn if it is cold. Boys should have their sports bag with them and food for the day, their black sports cap and water bottle/s. Bags will be brought down to the oval for the day.
Boys are to remain in their house areas and are not to go over to their parents/carers during the day. It is a normal school day, so boys should arrive as usual at school, dismissal will be at the usual time, 3:10 PM.
All boys will compete in a 100m, 200m, tug-of-war and novelty events at the carnival. Boys selected will also compete in high jump and shot-put events.
We look forward to a sunny day, full of friendly competition and outstanding performances.
“Just play. Enjoy the game. Have fun.”
