The Year 4 students impressed me with a lyric challenge. 

They had to sing to the aussie folk song, ‘Kookaburra Sits in the Old Gum Tree,’ then creatively insert their own lyrics after looking at the form of the song. 

They have made a great start to the activity.

I can’t wait to see the finished video with their dance movements to bring a fresh spin on this Aussie classic.

The Year 6 students are learning the fundamentals so they can apply their note reading skills to play pieces of music. Students came up with their own line note mnemonic to help them memorise the notes. So clever!
