Foundation students recently viewed the picture story book ‘Mopoke’ by Phillip Bunting. Following this, the completed a directed drawing task to create their own owl.
Here are a few:
Grade 2 students are continuing to learn about Dutch Post-Impressionist Vincent van Gogh, but this time using his sunflowers paintings for inspiration.
Students mixed a range of yellow tones before printing using stencils and patterning with paint pens.
Grade 3 students are continuing to work on their Paul Klee inspired cityscape.
Outlining completed, the following student's coloured in their work using oil pastels and then followed this with a dye wash.
Grade 4 students used a combination of pattern work and black gelli plate prints to create a bird, similar to those depicted in their new mentor text ‘The Arrival’ by Shaun Tan.
