Assistant Principal's Message

Prep Transition

Today we welcomed our Prep 2025 students to our school for their very first transition session.  The students settled well into their groups and got to know other students during the session.

World Teachers Day

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to our school community for coming together last Friday to honour the dedication and hard work of all our teachers at Toorak Primary School. We were truly grateful for the delicious treats provided by parents for morning tea. These thoughtful gestures mean so much and make us feel truly appreciated.

Evidence of Learning

Over the next few weeks, students will be undertaking a range of assessments across all areas of the curriculum. We like to think of these as a celebration of their learning over time, while also using the data to make informed judgments about their progress. During this period, take some time to check in with your child, encourage them to try their best, and remind them that some tasks may be challenging. Staying positive and celebrating their efforts is essential for our young learners, as it helps them develop resilience and coping skills.

These assessments, along with teacher observations and work samples, will be used to support the writing of student reports. Our mid-year results as a school have shown impressive learning growth for most students.
