Students have had a great start to Term 4, with the sun shining and lots of time to play outdoors. We are focusing on developing our soccer skills in the next few weeks. Our program is being supported by Football Victoria, with lots of games and activities.
Students must wear a sun-protective hat during PE sessions. Unfortunately, if a student does not have a hat, he/she may not be able to participate in outdoor activities as the UV levels are very high in spring and summer.
CNPS Art Show
Last week, we celebrated our CNPS Art Show. The week started with an official opening with our special guest artist, Laila Tabassum. The students were mesmerized by Laila’s artwork. It was fascinating to hear her process in making the artwork and hear about what inspires her, such as working with nature and using natural materials. Students had a ‘question and answer’ time with Laila and I was very impressed with their great and thoughtful questions. Laila’s daughters were past students at CNPS, so it was lovely to have her back, sharing in our community.
The Art show was well attended, and it was fantastic to see the pride students showed when sharing their artwork with their families. The Art show comprised of all the artworks students have created throughout the year, a highlight being our space-themed glow gallery!
Congratulations to the students on the hard work and creativity they have shown throughout the year to create these wonderful masterpieces and many thanks to all those who helped in setting up the show, in particular, our Art Captain Wajan, and staff Kathie, Jenny, Joanne and Geraldine.
All artwork will be coming home with students in the coming weeks.
