World Childrens Weeks and World Teachers Day
Children have the right to a clean and safe environment
Last week, we recognised the importance of upholding the rights of all children worldwide. This year's theme for World Children's Week is based on Article 24 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
"Children have the right to good quality health care, clean water, nutritious food and a clean environment so that they will stay healthy. Richer countries should help poorer countries achieve this."
On Friday we had an extended play break and shared a Barbeque in recognition of both Children's week and Teacher's Day.
