Little Scientists & Science Talent Search

Little Scientists, Big Science

This year, eight students in Year 4 were involved in the John Monash Science School ‘Little Scientists, Big Science’ program. Throughout Term 2 and 3, they attended this school to learn from Year 10 and 11 students about biology, physics and chemistry, participating in investigations involving PH testing and an egg drop. They then performed their own experimental research, presenting their findings at the JMSS ‘Australian Science Fair’ in Term 4.

Science Talent Search

We had 2 groups of students enter the Science Talent Search this year with some competing in the ‘Experimental Research’ and others in the ‘Picture Story Book’ division. The Year 4 ‘Little Scientists’ students entered their experimental research, while the Expert Art and Extension Writing students worked together to create picture story books.
