Writing Club
What a year for Writing Club!
This year has truly been an exciting one for Writing Club at BEPS! The Junior Writing Club has attracted up to 19 students each week and the Senior Writing Club has averaged around 10 students per week. It’s been fantastic to see so many students engaging in the world of writing and creativity.
In Junior Writing Club, students have explored a variety of writing forms, from creating intriguing characters and settings for their narratives to experimenting with poetry and letter writing. The club has provided a flexible space where students could work at their own pace and follow their own interests. We’ve also had fun playing games where we all collaborate to create a story together!
In Senior Writing Club, we’ve covered a broad spectrum of writing, including narratives and different forms of poetry, such as cinquains, limericks, and haikus. In the last term, some of the Year Four students even wrote and performed their own play, learning about the importance of stage directions and how these enhance characterisation. They had the opportunity to showcase their play during assembly, which was a memorable highlight.
It has been a wonderful year of creativity, growth, and exploration for Writing Club! We look forward to even more writing adventures in the coming year.
