Expert Art

Violet- I learned how to synergise with my peers effectively, how to dig deeper into art to get a better understanding of it and how to use the visual elements in different art forms.

Emily A- I learned how to use powder paint and how to paint effectively as well as how to synergise with my peers. I had a lot of fun.

Camilla- I learned how to expand my creativity and that every idea you have can be made into a masterpiece.

Venya- I learned about colour restoration, different painting skills and how to synergise with my peers.

Aliya- I learned how to collaborate with my peers and combine all the ideas together. I also learned about parallel lines and ratios when mixing powder paint.

Aliya and Venya- We are interested in Expert Art because we get to experience learning with new people and create new projects! We have been creating an artwork about healthy communities at BEPS. So far we have accomplished a draft, now we are onto practising our painting skills before we paint a canvas for display at the school office.

Ridhima and Kira- We like expert art because we learn more art techniques like sketching, like when we learned how to draw a realistic hand. We also like it because we are making an art piece to show how kids feel good and have fun.

Carys, Olivia M- We like that we can participate in all the activities, for example helping people get better at art and use our creative minds and express ourselves. We also like that we can share all of our ideas and collaborate to make them into one big masterpiece.

Animation Club

Lam

I really enjoyed drawing some of my favourite TV characters which is one of my favourite hobbies. I also got to spend time with my best friends. We got to make a “Manga” which is like a graphic novel. I had fun thinking up characters, storyline and arcs. Creating stories is another one of my favourite hobbies too.

I got to spend many lunchtimes with Rochelle drawing my character background. 40 minutes with Rochelle improved my understanding of drawing TV characters' body parts and background landscapes.

My best friend recommended that I join an animation club. He said that it was a full session where all you do is just draw, draw and draw. Well that hooked me right away, and that Thursday I checked it out,  guess what, I loved it.

I believe the way I know I’m successful is that I successfully create the manga my friends and I started, and that my drawing seems above my usual standards.

I like to see how my anime art has improved. I also like to see proof of my hard work through drawing.

Agreeing with others when developing a plot from scratch and how to draw an anime face.

I was interested in what anime was and I wanted to create my own anime.

Nadim

Showing people my drawings and asking them if they have improved. I love watching anime and I love drawing it too.

Before I joined, I could not even draw a stickman good without asking for help.

I've made two anime drawings that I could never think of making ever and I'm happy with both of them yet I am still learning.
