A few thoughts on my first year at BEPS.

Together We Learn

At Burwood East, we find our way,

A place to learn, create, and play.

With open minds, we dream, and inquire,

To learn, to create, and inspire.

Where learning blossoms and voices soar,

Each child is welcomed through the door.

Resilience builds us, strong and wise,

A place where kindness amplifies.

Safe hands, safe feet, we choose what’s right,

Guided by values, our future is bright.

The Stand Up Program leads the call,

Against discrimination, we stand tall.

In Steph’s Garden and classrooms, we grow,

A place where investigations and curiosity flow.

Respect, resilience, and confidence reign,

Honesty guides us through every domain.

At BEPS place, we grow, we care,

A school where kindness fills the air.

We strive, we learn, we give our best,

At Burwood East, we are truly blessed.

Together, we stand with self pride,

Responsibility, our steady guide, 

With confidence, we find our voice,

In every step, we make a good choice.

We run with colour, laughter and cheer,

The Colour Run makes everyone’s year!

To persevere, to stand up tall,

Through challenges, we’ll catch your fall.

So hand in hand, through every year,

We lift each other, peer to peer.

Together we learn, together we’ll rise,

Under Burwood East’s guiding eyes.

The SVAT speaks with voices clear,

For every student, far and near,

Action and kindness pave the way,

To make a difference, day by day.

With Darren’s band and ukuleles in hand,

Music echoes through our land.

The Specialist Fair made quite a bang,

While Mandarin chanted yin and yang.

On Zooperdooper Friday, joy runs real,

Cold treats were shared with a squeal!

Chickens cluck, the fish swim by,

Turtles sun beneath our watchful eyes.

Celebration Day brings joy and pride,

Together we dance and sing standing side by side.

We close the year with joy and cheer,

And welcome a bright, inspiring new year.

Team spirit, trust, and loyalty too,

Integrity guides all that we do,

These are the things that make us great,

At Burwood East, we celebrate!

Farewell to the Class of 2024,

May 2025 bring new adventures for all to explore,

May laughter and joy come your way,
