YEAR 11

Year 11 Key Information 

• On Monday, we head to Green Island to recognise and celebrate the official completion of the Year 11 academic year before students commence Unit 3, Year 12 work. All students must be at the Reef Terminal no later than 7:45 a.m. for boarding. Students must wear their full sports uniforms, including closed-in shoes, which must be worn on the boat. They will also need a sun shirt or swimsuit for snorkeling. Students must bring morning tea and lunch if they choose not to purchase food. The boat returns at 5:30 p.m. to the Reef Terminal. Please ensure students are collected on time.
   
• All Senior Shirts & Jersey must be ordered and paid by Monday, 21 October (Beginning of Week 4).
   
• Following our Pastoral Day, students will commence Year 12 work. To receive the necessary QCE points, students must meet the academic expectations of their subjects. Should your child be experiencing difficulty in subjects, please contact our careers advisor for support.

Whole of College Key Information

• Best of luck to the Year 12 students commencing their external exams over the next three weeks. We know their hard work and dedication over the past two years of senior schooling will pay dividends. All students in years 7-11 must remain away from the Hugh O'Brien Center (HOB) over this period to avoid disturbing the Year 12 students.
   
• Next week, we will recognise all staff members and their dedication to education at St Mary's with World Teacher's Day celebrations! This is a special day to pay tribute to the continued hard work staff at St. Mary's does to support our school community.
   
• Our upcoming Awards Evening is set to occur in Week 7, Monday, November 11. Families and students will be notified shortly regarding their attendance at the event as award recipients. We encourage students to ensure they wear their best St Mary's formal uniform and polish their shoes for this important college event. We look forward to celebrating the achievements of students at St Mary's!
