YEAR 12

Year 12 Key Information

  • Monday is normal timetabled lessons. From Tuesday to Friday, students will attend regular timetabled lessons for attendance UNLESS they have previously negotiated to move to another class on that line. Proof of this negotiation must be shown to the class teacher (e.g., by email) before the student can leave the class. Information for classes scheduled on each line has been provided to students.

  • Please note that the Surviving 25 presentation, facilitated by Royal Flying Doctors, will be held during Sports on Tuesday. A parental acknowledgment slip has been distributed for your reference. Please let me know if you have any concerns regarding your child's participation for this session.

  • As this is the final week of school before the commencement of external exams, we want to remind students that parking permits must be returned by Friday. Students can still access the TTC carpark until graduation Week 7. Student lockers are to be emptied, and any resources from the library that are not required for exam study are to be returned by next Friday.

  • Finally, please be aware that we regularly receive complaints from residents and concerned citizens about the driving skills displayed after school in nearby streets, such as Lindell Drive. Please remind your child that courteous and safe driving is expected at all times for all safety and that the advice given is to contact the Queensland Police Service (QPS).

Whole of College Key Information

  • Students are currently engaged in learning across all their classes and will begin formative and summative assessment pieces over the coming weeks. We encourage parents/carers to print a copy of the assessment planner and place it in a central location for review to ensure deadlines for drafts and finals are met.

  • We encourage parents/carers to reach out to classroom teachers for support and questions regarding their child's engagement in learning should it be necessary. All teacher email addresses can be found on the college website.

  • Good luck to Year 11 students with their final exams next week. We hope the hard work and dedication to your studies pay off.

  • This is a reminder that parents/carers must notify the college should their child be absent. This can be completed on the MyCE App, parent portal, or by phone or email to the college office. Attendance above 90% demonstrates positive engagement in learning that will set your child up for success.
