Year 9 Key Information
- This week, students participated in the Work Experience Induction Session run by VPG in preparation for next year. Next week, Tanya Andacic from the VPG Work Experience Program will run an Induction for Families on Tuesday, 15 October, from 5.30 pm – 6.15 pm via Zoom. This will be a 45-minute session with an opportunity to hear about the program and ask questions. If you cannot make the Zoom live, this will also be recorded and sent to all families.
- Some Year 9 students want to start projects this term that can raise money for charity. One initiative will require old furniture, preferably coffee tables, chairs, or small cabinets. If you have anything that you would like to donate, please email me.

Whole of College Key Information
- Students are currently engaged in learning across all their classes and will begin formative and summative assessment pieces over the coming weeks. We encourage parents/carers to print a copy of the assessment planner and place it in a central location for review to ensure deadlines for drafts and finals are met.
- We encourage parents/carers to reach out to classroom teachers for support and questions regarding their child's engagement in learning should it be necessary. All teacher email addresses can be found on the college website.
- Good luck to Year 11 students with their final exams next week. We hope the hard work and dedication to your studies pay off.
- This is a reminder that parents/carers must notify the college should their child be absent. This can be completed on the MyCE App, parent portal, or by phone or email to the college office. Attendance above 90% demonstrates positive engagement in learning that will set your child up for success.
