Community Courses

Community courses are a great introduction to Auslan and Deaf culture for people who work in customer service, health and learning support roles. Community courses are also a pathway into accredited Auslan training.

Short, introductory Auslan courses are provided by Expression Australia. Expression Australia’s courses run in various locations around Melbourne as well as in Geelong (VIC) and Hobart (TAS). Expression Australia also provide workplace Auslan and Deafness Awareness Training.

Diamond Valley Learning Centre (DVLC) in Melbourne’s north east offer two Auslan short courses. Sign Language for Beginners and Advanced Sign Language.

 

Accredited Auslan courses

If you want to learn Auslan and receive a qualification, Melbourne Polytechnic offers courses from Certificate II to Diploma level.
