We are proud to announce that we recently applied for a grant for Victorian Schools Garden Program for Most Engaging Garden for Well-Being Award - Demonstrating student engagement and participation in a garden for well-being learning.

and we have won it. We will receive a prize of $1000 to go towards the school garden. A group of students will be attending the award ceremony in November at The Botanical Gardens. We are very excited about this and have so many plans for what we can do with the prize money.

Thank you to parent - Vicki White and teachers Mrs M and Ms Michelle for preparing the proposal.

The Environmental Leaders will also be attending a Sustainability in Schools Workshop at CERES, Sustainability Park, in Brunswick on Tuesday October 29th where they will meet with other schools to workshop sustainability initiatives that we may be able to integrate into our school.

Recently the Garden Club have been weeding, learning about our fruit trees, harvested lettuce and potatoes. Many students have been assisting which has been lovely to see.

Our recent Citrus Market stall, where we sold our lemons and mandarins, helped us raise $33, which will go towards buying worms for our new worm farm. Thank you to Mrs M for buying and donating the worm farm, we are looking forward to it arriving.

This week, we planted Pelargoniums, Marigold and Basil to help keep the mosquitoes away as we have noticed a lot more students coming to the sick bay with multiple mosquito bites.
