Education State Reforms & The Victorian Teaching and Learning Model (VTLM 2.0)

The Minister’s announcements relating to teaching and learning programs has seen the launch of the Victorian Lesson Plans (VLPs) and a mandated approach to teaching reading.

The Department has provided further information to help schools implement the revised VTLM 2.0 over the next 3 years (2025 to 2027).

The new information has been added to the Guidance tab of the VTLM 2.0 policy in the Policy and Advisory Library.

It will help school leaders and teachers: 

• increase their understanding of the VTLM 2.0
• use the model to help plan teaching and learning programs from 2025
• be aware about the supports for implementation of the VTLM 2.0, including with Victorian Lesson Plans, webinars and further guidance. These will be progressively released to schools throughout Term 4, 2024.
