Celebrating Japanese Day

We celebrated Japanese Day at our school on Wednesday 23rd October. Our students went above and beyond, dressing up in stunning Japanese attire. Their enthusiasm and effort in embracing this cultural experience truly shone.

A huge round of applause to our teaching and administrative staff for their unwavering support and kindness in making this day possible. Their dedication ensured everything ran smoothly, and their enthusiasm for Japanese culture was genuinely inspiring.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the parents who helped their children prepare their beautiful costumes. Your support and involvement made a significant difference in the day's success.

A special arigato goes to the volunteers from the Parents and Friends Association (PFA) for organising the sushi lunch orders. Your hard work and delicious sushi brought smiles to everyone's faces.

The day was packed with fun and educational activities, including a dress-up parade, the Pocky Dance, mesmerising performances of Taiko and traditional Japanese instruments, origami sessions, chopstick games, hachimaki (headband) decoration, and a delightful folktale about rice balls.

Japanese Day was a celebration of culture, community, and creativity, and we couldn’t have done it without the combined efforts of students, staff, parents, and volunteers. Thank you for making it an extraordinary day!

Arigato gozaimasu.
