What a busy week and weekend we had!
JAPANESE DAY
It was a blast! It was our first time doing the sushi for schools order and it turned out great. Thank you to Deb Putt and the team of volunteers who came to school to help pack and distribute. We had over 800 sushi delivered . We apologise if your child's order wasn't perfect and understand we did our best.. we always do our best!
WEEKEND AWAY
WOW! This was our first ever time.. and we will do it again for sure! Biggest thanks go to Deb Leibhaber, Hugh and Theresa Maguire, Sarah Newstead and Jana Gelman. The Big 4 said they loved having our school and we were the best!
Here is a brief reflection of the fun!!
We have returned from our very first ever Gardenvale school trip away,
Oh what a blast, so much fun so much joy, oh so much to share and to say!
It started on Friday as people streamed in, and got settled in cabins or vans,
Some bought their tents, some stayed in a pod and some even stayed in a tram!
Kids on their scooters and bikes right away, there was simply a buzz in the air,
Set up was quick and soon you did find people chilling around on the chairs!
The pizza van came and fed a whole lot, delicious and easy to share,
The pump track was full and the playgrounds a plenty, there were kids and their folks everywhere!
Some people lit candles and shared special time, and then the campfire was lit.
Out came the marshmallows and sticks at the ready, they gobbled each s'more bit by bit.
On Saturday morn the run crew went out and built up a sweat pretty fast
Then time for a stretch on the big grassy patch, we wanted the time not to pass.
Some joined in the race with clues all around, they were really quite tricky and hard,
And then came the hunt for our friend HERRRBy, whose face was printed on card.
There were snacks that were shared, by friends hanging out, everyone all having fun!
Lollies for sale down by the lake oh yes please, quick everyone let’s run!
More food trucks to keep everyone happy and fed, some wine for the mums and dads to enjoy
Movie time kids with popcorn of course, what a jam packed day oh boy!
Then Saturday night more fires and fun everyone in their own groove
Sharing and chatting and meeting new friends, as around the campsite people did move.
Time for a game let’s jump in a sack, being silly let’s laugh with our mates,
Oh so much fun in one weekend away - a 10/10 we would rate!
