Principal's Message

Good afternoon, Parents/Carers,

We have had a very busy start to Term 1 and as you can see our calendar for Term 1 is filling up with many more activities to come.

School Captains Induction

We held our School Captains Induction Assembly last Friday.  It was great to see our proud parents pin the badges of our school leaders for 2025.  Congratulations to the following students who were inducted into the role of School Leaders:  Lachlan and Lebron - School Captains, Dominic D and Tailor - Vice Captains, Maryellen & Montanna - Sports Captains Macquarie, Ethan & Lexi - Sports Captains Oxley and Lillian S & Asthon A - Sports Captains Wentworth.  

Our Healthy Kids Program 2025

We welcome members of the Aboriginal Health & Medical Research Council of NSW to our school to conduct the Our Healthy Kids Program to our students in Yrs 2-6.  Sessions will be held each Thursday in Term 1 and will cover topics such as nutrition, thoughts and feelings, healthy habits, personal health, keeping safe, moving our bodies and friends.  The sessions include fun and engaging physical activities of sport, art and music.  

Media & Permissions for 2025

Each year we require permission from parents with regards to printing and using photographs of your child in our media material such as school newsletter, promotional material etc. This also includes permission for your child to walk with the school on any activities that are conducted outside of the school premises.  If you have not already done so, could you please ensure the signed form is returned to the school office as soon as possible.

Turn Up Awards

To encourage our students to attend school every day we have introduced the 'Turn Up" award.  Each day your child attends their name will be entered into the draw to receive a canteen voucher.  A voucher will be issued each week to each class.  If your child attends 5 times in that week they have 5 entries.  If they attend two days in that week they have 2 entries.  Our winners for Week 3 are:

2/3O - Ruby

4/5/6W - Tailor

Congratulations, you will each receive a canteen voucher to enjoy a free lunch from the canteen this Friday.

Rotations

We have introduced rotations into our weekly routine that will take place each Friday.   Each class will rotate between three different activities including: dance, singing and sport.  Our staff and students are enjoying the experience.

White Cross Dental Program

White Cross Dental are once again visiting our school today and tomorrow.  If you would like your child to visit the dentist, please return the White Cross Dental Form by 9am tomorrow to the school office.

Welcome Back BBQ and Information Evening 

Our annual Welcome Back BBQ and Information will be held tomorrow, Wednesday 19th February.  We invite all parents/carers to come along and enjoy a BBQ with the staff from 5pm and a presentation from your child's teacher.
