Learning and Curriculum Primary - Stage 3

Assessment

It is hoped by now that students and families have familiarised themselves with the relevant Assessment Handbooks and upcoming assessment tasks. When preparing for these tasks, the following may be helpful for students:

  • Understand the Assessment Criteria: Make sure you know what is expected in each assessment. Review the criteria and ask your teacher if you have any questions.

  • Create and stick to a schedule: Plan your time in advance around individual and family commitments.

  • Practice Regularly: Consistent practice can help reinforce what you have learned. Use practice tests, flashcards, and other revision tools to review key concepts.

  • Get Plenty of Rest: A good night's sleep is essential for optimal performance.

  • Stay Positive: Believe in yourself and stay positive. Confidence can make a big difference in how you approach and complete your assessments.

  • Ask for Help: If you are struggling with a particular topic, do not hesitate to ask your teacher or a classmate for help. Collaboration can enhance your understanding.
