News from the PC!

It was lovely to meet all the new Class Convenors at our welcome breakfast this morning. Thank you to all the convenors for volunteering for 2025.

Class WhatsApp Groups:  Now that we have the Class Lists and convenors, your class convenor will establish a WhatsApp group for your class (or classes for students in the Binome). Only contact numbers that are on the official class list can be added to the WhatsApp group. If you did not give consent in the annual student agreement to disclose your number you will not be added to the WhatsApp group. If you would now like to be added, you will need to contact the office to give your consent or complete the agreement in Compass if you have not done so. Your Class Convenor cannot add you until your number is on the official class list.

General News

Friday Treats: This is the Friday treats roster for Term 1. In summer we sell limited pains au chocolat from Reverie Café ($4.50) & zooper doopers ($2) and in winter we sell only pain au chocolat. Cash or card is accepted except for the last week of term due to DET cash rules. 

We can only do this with the help of you and your classes to staff the stall, around a 30-40 min commitment every Friday rotating around classes. 

It is a huge fundraiser for the Parents Committee (PC) and you’ll soon see another example of the fruits from this when the new senior playground is installed later this term.

2025 Events: Looking ahead, in 2025 we plan to run lots of great events: Bastille Day, Friday Treats, Mother’s & Father’s Day Stalls and Breakfasts, Diwali and the End of Year Party.   We would also like to run a school disco night (bringing back the 80’s school disco vibes) and an Africa Day – if you would like to coordinate or contribute to these events, please let us know.  Contact us at caulfieldjuniorpc@gmail.com 

Child Safety: A reminder that all parents/carer’s who wish to volunteer at CJC must have a Working With Children Check – it is free for volunteers and you can apply online here: Working with Children Check (service.vic.gov.au)

CJC Families Facebook Group: Did you know that we have a CJC Facebook Group called CJC Families?  The page is used to inform our community of CJC Events, sell 2nd hand uniform, find a babysitter and more. The page is private, and you must be a CJC community member and answer the questions to join.
