What we have been up to...

At the end of last term, students and staff enjoyed participating in Footy Colours Day and the staff vs. Grade 6's match to see who would take out the coveted 'Stevo Cup' (The teachers were lucky this to continue their unbeaten run). The weather was perfect for the occasion and there were lots of spectacular tackles on the favourite station - the tackling bags!

In Writing, we have been learning about Haiku Poems. A Haiku is a Japanese poetic form consisting of three lines with a 5-7-5 syllable pattern. Haikus are typically unrhymed and traditionally focus on nature.

In Mathematics, we have begun this term continuing with our exploration of multiplication and division. We have been looking of arrays as well as making the connections of multiplication as repeated addition and division as repeated subtraction.

For Topic, we have begun our topic for this term called 'Through the Generations'. We have been looking how our families of today have changed from those in the past.
