Footy Colours Day
We had so much fun at our first Footy Colours Day! Thank you, Mr Smith for organising this great event. Here are some pictures of the Preps in action.
Camp Quality Puppet Show
Students attended the Camp Quality Puppet Show, where engaging puppets helped educate students about cancer. The performance shared the story of a student feeling nervous about returning to school after chemotherapy and highlighted the importance of understanding and support. The show visited Spring Gully Primary School to celebrate and assist the return of one of our amazing students.
SEDA
Over the last two weeks, the Preps had the opportunity to participate in some rotations including football, soccer, basketball, cricket and netball. They had a ball! Thank you to the coaches at SEDA.
As you may be aware, our annual ‘Be Awesome Day’ is almost upon us (Friday, October 31st). The Prep classrooms will be running three stalls. Our students have voted for the three stalls they would like to run (Face painting, Guess the Jelly Bean & Sandpit Lucky Prize). To help run these stalls were are kindly asking for donations. Below is a list of things you could donate:
-Jelly Beans
-Assorted chocolates and lollies (individually wrapped)
-Blocks of chocolate.
We ask that you only donate what you can. Please give these donations to you child's teacher over the next couple of weeks.
We are kindly asking for volunteers for our three Prep Be Awesome Day stalls. There are pieces of paper outside the Prep rooms to write your name down, this can be found on the window where Prep Floyd line up. It contains the three stalls with 15 minute time slots to write your name if you are able to volunteer your time. This will include supervising/running the stall during your time slot. Your help and your time is greatly appreciated, as the teachers will be required to support the students on the day.
We are also looking for a few parent helpers who are very good at keeping secrets! We need some help counting the jelly beans for the jars and then placing these in the jars ready for Be Awesome Day. If you happen to be available on Tuesday 28th October, from 8.45am for 30 minutes, or less, please let Miss Floyd know (madison.floyd@education.vic.gov.au).
We would like to remind everyone to check your child's reading satchel every night. This satchel should only contain readers, sound bags, library books, other homework or notes home. It is important to have regular clean outs to make sure you aren't missing any important information.
