Resilience, Rights & Respectful Relationships:

This term, students in Grades 1–6 will be learning about Positive Gender Relations as part of our Respectful Relationships (RRRR) program. These lessons help students understand fairness, respect, and equality between all genders.

Through age-appropriate activities, students will explore topics such as friendship, inclusion, and how to speak up when something feels unfair. Our aim is to build a school culture where everyone feels safe, valued, and respected.

Our Prep students this term, will be exploring the Respectful Relationships (RRRR) topics of Gender Norms and Stereotypes and Positive Gender Relations.

Through stories, games, and discussions, students will learn that everyone can enjoy different activities, express themselves in their own way, and show respect and kindness to others. These lessons help children understand fairness and inclusion from an early age.

Prep Dunn

This week we spoke about what to do if someone tells us we can't do something because of our gender. We played games, read stories and had lots of discussions about things that we all like to do (regardless of our gender).

Term 3 ended with lots of excitement about Donut Day. All students enjoyed a special treat after earning enough Gugu stickers to reach our Level 1 reward. Well done to all students for their hard work over the term!

It is now time to set our new rewards for Level 1 & 2 in Term 4. Students will get a chance to vote over the next few weeks for which reward they would like. Once the votes have been tallied we will announce the rewards at assembly. Stay tuned and keep earning those Gugu's by showing our School Values.

The SRC will be holding a Downball Tournament later in this term as a fundraiser for our school. Today, the SRC clarified the scoring system, the rules, and awards.

Entry will be by gold coin donation and winners will be awarded for each cohort:  grade prep, 1/2's, 3/4's and 5/6.

More details to come- stay tuned, and practice up!
