At St Mary MacKillop College we have high expectations of our students as we equip them with the knowledge, skills and dispositions for lifelong learning. We pursue excellence through a teaching and learning environment that is inclusive, engaging and encourages growth. We value collaboration, innovation and building strong relationships.
Celebrating the class of 2025
Friday 21 November was a wonderful celebration for our Year 12 students. The Mass and Valedictory Dinner were special occasions to honour the achievements of the class of 2025 and to mark the end of their school journey.
We wish our Year 12 students all the best as they step into new opportunities in 2026, whether that be further study, apprenticeships, employment or a gap year. Thank you to our Year 12 students for the dedication and passion they showed towards their learning throughout this year. We look forward to hearing about your future successes. Thank you also to the teachers who have taught our Year 12 students this year, and to those who taught the students in previous years and helped them to develop their skills and knowledge for success in Year 12.
Year 7 to 11 students
For the rest of our students, the final weeks of Term 4 will see them complete exams, and participate in orientation programs and activity days. Last week our Year 11 students completed their end-of-year exams, and next week our Year 7 to 10 students will complete exams. This week our Year 11 students completed an orientation program in preparation for entering Year 12 in 2026. Next week the orientation program for our 2026 Year 11 students will commence after they complete exams for English, Maths and Science on Monday and Tuesday. Our orientation programs are an excellent opportunity for our students to set the foundation for success in 2026 by engaging in their classes and finding out the homework they need to complete over the holidays. This will ensure they start Year 11 and 12 next year with confidence and enthusiasm. I thank the teachers who have been working hard to prepare and deliver their orientation classes.
