Library news

Please make an effort over the holidays to look for any books you have outstanding. You can find out here: hpsc.functionalsolutions.com.au if you are not sure what you have. Just above the school logo, there is a button to press called My Loans and Overdues. The list of what you have borrowed will be there.

You can still read over the holidays, ebooks and audiobooks are available through https://hpsc.eplatform.co or on the ePlatform app. You can borrow two books for two weeks. You can’t lose them, but they do automatically return at the two-week mark and can  only be renewed if no one else has reserved the title.

If you need a hard copy, visit the Hampton Park or Bunjil Place Library.

Exciting Timetable Changes Coming in 2026!

In 2026, we will be introducing a new school timetable designed to increase learning opportunities and better support all students across the years. From next year, the school day will run from 9:00am to 3:10pm, with five periods per day, extending the current day by 10 minutes.

This change is the result of extensive consultation, as outlined by our Principal, Wayne Haworth, and reflects our commitment to optimising learning time and student growth.

Key Changes at a Glance:

  • Five periods per day
  • School day extended by 10 minutes (9:00am – 3:10pm)
  • Four periods per subject in core learning areas
  • A new Careers and Pathways program for Year 10 students on Wednesdays (Period 5) – beginning Term 1, 2026
  • Year 11 and 12 students will continue to finish early on Wednesdays for independent study or SACs
  • Full alignment with Department of Education curriculum requirements
  • Greater flexibility and choice in student learning programs from Years 8–10
