STRONG MINDS,
GENTLE HEARTS
News from Frazer Rigby
Deputy Principal
A warm welcome to the 2026 Saints year which has commenced in a positive fashion with good order and relative calm. The young men of Saints are exceptionally good at getting into the routine of college life.
Thank you to families for adhering to the Stop Drop Go Zone procedures, resulting in an exceptionally smooth process. For student safety the zone is closed until 2:40pm on a Wednesday to allow students to return safely from sport on multiple buses.
A couple of suggestions to assist the process of dropping off and picking up your sons are below:
Organise to pick them up a little later as the zone tends to clear by 2:45pm on Wednesdays and by 3:40pm on other days. You could also collect them at Barlow Park.
Keep moving along the zone until you reach the front of the line to pick up your sons, as this will reduce congestion.
If your sons are not waiting for you at the front of the line, continue out of the zone and drive around the block. This will reduce congestion and improve traffic flow.
Do not enter via the bus zone as we have four buses that pick up students there.
Please don’t line up and block the entrance to the bus zone as buses can’t enter and it inhibits traffic flow along Scott Street.
Student absences
A reminder to parents and carers about procedures for when your sons are absent. Ideally, you should phone 4052 9113 before 8:30am, enter their details via the MyCE app or email sac.absences@cns.catholic.edu.au Absences due to illness for more than two consecutive days require a medical certificate to be submitted to the College office.
Requests for student leave
Please restrict family holidays or other periods of leave to gazetted term holidays.
Requests for leave outside normal holiday times must be made in writing to the College Principal before any arrangements are made. Such requests are made by completing a Request for Student Absence form which is email to sac.absences@cns.catholic.edu.au This form is available on the Parent Portal under the Documents heading and from the office.

Homeroom teachers are the first point of contact for parents and carers in relation to their son's pastoral and academic development. You would have received a letter from his head of year introducing his homeroom teacher and their contact details. Please feel free to contact your son’s homeroom teacher with any concerns or questions.
