Just when we thought it couldn't get any better, we were blown away to learn that one of our teams also took out runner's up in their division, at last week's Energy Breakthrough event! Congratulations again to students on their outstanding participation in this event and to the adults and sponsors that helped make this such a success. We were all so proud of our students, and the way their supported each other to do and be their best, and I'm sure they will be talking about this experience for many years to come!

Our formal Prep transition program commenced on Tuesday with students spending time in the classroom, sharing the story of Elma the Elephant, with follow-up activities, playing board games with the current preps and having a short play, in the playground. The students had a lovely time, and we are all looking forward to them visiting again, next week.

Our Prep-6 swimming program also commenced this week and despite the cooler temps, students have been enjoying participating in this important program. Many thanks to Steph for her organisation and to our instructors and staff, for your ongoing support. With cooler temperatures forecast again for next week, families are asked to monitor Compass for daily updates, and to ensure students have lots of warm layers.

After a short hitaus, Friday morning assembly will resume tomorrow, with a presentation from the 1/2 class. Next week, it will be the Prep/1's turn, followed by our final assembly for the year on the 12th December.
Tomorrow evening, 28 November, at 8pm the town Christmas tree lights will be officially turned on! Families are invited to attend from 6.30pm - 8.30pm. The event is sponsored by AGL who will be providing free drinks and chocolate biscuits for the children.
Next week, there will be no Spookies lessons, as Conrad is away, however lessons will resume the following week.

Please note that this year's Statewide Transition Day will be held on Tuesday 9th December. On this day, all students will spend the day with their 2026 class and teacher .
Next Wednesday, the Junior Band will be performing an end-of-year concert from 5pm in the Jessie Hollands studio. Family and friends are invited to attend.

Family and friends are also invited to join us at 2.30pm on Monday 8th December, in the multi-purpose building, for a presentation of 'Finding our Beat', in which students in Prep-6 will be showcasing their learning in music over the term.

The musical entertainment will continue on Friday 12th December, when our choir, accompanied by the Spookie Ukies and the kindergarten, will perform some carols, at the annual Lions Club's Carols by Candlelight event.

On Tuesday 16th December, the Year 6 students will perform their play, The Enchanted Bookshop, at the Community Centre, commencing at 6.30pm. Entry is by gold coin donation and is a performance not to be missed!
