ASSISTANT PRINCIPALS’ REPORT

ASSISTANT PRINCIPALS

Ryan Mills                           Bradley Headlam                        Sarah Bridges

As we approach the end of semester one, with exams and assessments, it is a timely reminder of the importance of our school values of excellence and achievement. It is a chance for students to demonstrate their learning and reflect on our commitment to learning and maximise our potential.

School Photos

School photos and ID cards are scheduled to arrive early next week, and we will distribute them in home groups. All photos can be ordered on Compass.

Sports

It is great to see so many students participating in inter-school sports during this term. Our students enjoy competing with others and do so with respect to the other teams. Good luck in the upcoming events/finals.

Refugee Week 16-22 June.

Finding Freedom - Family. This theme encapsulates the profound journey of resilience, strength and unity that defines the refugee experience. It sheds light on the transformative power of familial bonds as well as chosen bonds in the face of adversity. It emphasises the crucial role families play in providing solace, support and a sense of belonging to those forced to flee their homelands. The SRC has an activity planned each day of the week to celebrate Refugee Week.

NAIDOC Week 7-14 July

The 2024 theme, “Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud & Proud”, honours the enduring strength and vitality of First Nations Culture - with fire a symbol of connection to Country, each other and to the rich tapestry of traditions that define Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. A whole school assembly will be held during NAIDOC week to celebrate and acknowledge our First Nations students and families.

Thanks to all the staff and students who are actively involved in the many programs/initiatives that support our students to grow and develop.
