Wynspeak Finals - 2024

On Friday June 7th, Tarneit Senior College was proud to have a student represent the school as a finalist in the Wyndham Public Speaking Competition for the second year in a row. This year, Sobiya Fatima from Year 11 represented our school at Thomas Carr College, where she delivered a phenomenal speech on Australian households needing to reduce their food wastage.

In exciting news, Sobiya came in 3rd place and took the award for Most Improved Speaker in this year's competition - an outstanding result and a first for our school. On behalf of Tarneit Senior College, we could not be prouder of Sobiya's hard work, passion and dedication for improving her public speaking skills and in her terrific representation of the college and our values of integrity, innovation and focus.

Tarneit Senior College will return to the competition in 2025, as well as host the competition at our campus - applications for our 2025 representatives will open in Term 4 and will be available to all students in Years 10 and 11.

Congratulations on your success, Sobiya, and we hope that you will return in 2025 to represent the school once again!!!
