Year 11 Chemistry - Strathmore Sec.

Students of year 11 Chemistry had a field trip to the Victorian Space Science Education Center. The trip afforded students an opportunity to consolidate abstract ideas of chemical analysis. 

They analysed the blood serum of astronauts to determine the concentration of magnesium and calcium ions using Atomic Absorption Spectrum, and UV-Visible light spectroscopy. Educators at VSSEC spoke highly of the class.
